Aquarius Let the Sunshine In Stasis Theory
One of the
first things you may think when listening to The Age of Aquarius is what on
earth is that? Well, the age of Aquarius
that the song refers to is the belief that each 2000 years or so marks certain
characteristics depending on astronomical placement of planets. The 1960s began
a transition into a time that emphasized self-discovery and equality rather
than hierarchy and religion. This mindset was embraced by the hippies and
counterculture movement. It called for a change in every aspect of our society.
A new day is coming and be ready for it. This song became an anthem of the
generation. It was written for the musical Hair,
which told the story of a hippie tribe from New York. Rather than focus on plot,
the main point was to heighten the theme which was about social change and love
over war.

Great application of stasis theory. It starts off strongly, defining what exactly the material means, and segues perfectly into why it was used in this context and the effect it had at the time. While "action" does seem to be missing from your analysis, I don't really see how it would fit in the first place. If I had to make one change, it would be bringing up Hair to be earlier in the post just to establish the context, but it isn't that necessary and the post still reads strongly as it is.

I agree with Jesse, the order of the facts presented could be switched around a little bit, but otherwise an effective application of stasis theory.
